Currently, there are solutions to help with environmental problems in addition to exposing environmental effects from the fashion industry. However, not many people are informed of the reality of the true cause of all these issues: which is the human habit of overconsumption. Their actions are the root of the problem. Overconsumption is caused by two main behaviours; buying and consumption habits. In order to determine whether a person has “over-consuming” habits, their buying decisions and their post-purchase behaviours need to be observed.
STOP NOW is a space design project, imitating a common clothing store which holds engaging activities that allow people to reflect on themselves and their possible over-consuming behaviour. In addition to this, it also helps raise awareness of overconsumption of clothing. STOP NOW will encourage people to realise and reevaluate their shopping behaviour and become more conscious of their clothing choice.
