Fundamental Amulet is a box set of publications that cultivates a foundation for people who owns amulets or is interested in this topic but do not know where to start. The contents are featured from different types of amulets, care instructions, to how to trade them.
Knowledge about amulets is mostly passed on from experts rather than textbooks, by face-to-face or from generation to generation. Without any basic knowledge, it is hard learn how to obtain one. Since textbooks and other existing media are mainly produced for intermediate users, conducted as specific references or focusing on trading amulets. Without any connection, amulet community is closed-community where people could not be able to go and seek for information by themselves. Some people tend to rely on experienced acquaintance to do the trading for them.
Problems found during research is that the existing contents are unwelcoming and seem complex to start with. Most of the contents are related with either supernatural fiction, or narrow subjects and poorly executed.
The main objective is to simplify existing data and create information for people who owned and amulets and people who is not. In term of contents, this project aims to present necessary facts rather than fiction. The design will be used to help classify, demonstrate, and guide audiences to easily absorbs information.
