In a city where mundane details are rarely recorded or preserved, this project brings attention to ordinary elements like the retractable steel doors. One side of the publication looks outward at the streetscape in which these doors reside. The other side listens in, gathering stories from those who live behind them. Let these pages be your magnifying glass. An invitation to look a little closer at what’s been there all along, in hopes that you begin to notice something you hadn’t before.
