A-aa-i-ii is a set of multi-sensory vowel learning tools designed for Thai primary school students with reading and writing challenges. Developed from Aree’s 2024 project, the tool covers 18 Thai monophthong vowels (สระเดี่ยว), allowing vowel forms and sounds to be learned through hands-on interactions and pronunciation.

Through research and development, the tool was enhanced to improve learning and usability, including a systematic design that helps learners distinguish between short and long vowels (สระเสียงสั้นและเสียงยาว), along with suitable typography and supporting materials. Moreover, the tool was further tested with primary school students and teachers through a six-week period to explore its impact.

This project aims to support Thai literacy development through a creative communication design approach, offering alternative ways of learning for young learners in Thai education.
