Unlike many other flowers, Pikul was woven into nearly every aspect of Thai life. However, in today’s urbanized world shaped by globalization, the significance of Pikul has faded, often overlooked in favor of more commercially popular or imported varieties. This project positions Pikul not merely as a visual inspiration, but as a multi-sensory bridge between the past and the present. Through a series of curated experiences, the project invites the audience to rediscover Pikul’s quiet beauty, cultural depth, and enduring significance in everyday life. The installation consists of five sections. Storytelling reveals hidden cultural and linguistic ties through visual narratives. Sculpture honors the flower’s intricate natural form, inspired by the folklore “พิกุลเงิน พิกุลทอง.” Pattern Installation reinterprets traditional Pikul textile motifs into modern visual expressions. Edible Art offers dried Pikul cookies, blending heritage with flavor. Fragrance Experience lets visitors rediscover the flower’s subtle aroma. Together, these experiences reawaken Pikul as a meaningful, modern cultural icon.
